Motus Senior Specialist: Information Technology (Hyundai Head Office)

Hyundai South Africa is looking for an experienced IT Specialists who is highly systematic in their approach to solving problems and understand a wide range of best practices that they can use to resolve common networking and hardware issues. They will also be responsible for maintenance, development and implementation of software and IT systems for the organization.

Specific Role Responsibilities

  • Advise on and ensure the effective management of information technology.
  • Analyse related information/reports to identify discrepancies and anomalies, recommend remedial action and ensure compliance to governance.
  • Conduct research and gather data to provide input to operational reporting and decision making.
  • Conduct research to identify new opportunities/technologies which could result in better operational processes.
  • Configure servers for dealerships and integration with 3rd party vendors to ensure needs and specifications are met.
  • Coordinate with relevant customers in order to implement servers into applicable environment.
  • Define standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Deliver fast and efficient customer support to ensure business applications runs optimaly .
  • Perform value-add research & development of practices aligned to tactical strategy and goals.
  • Provide specialist advice to enable planning for value-added process improvements, initiatives and services.
  • Provide specialist advice to identify and develop solutions to improve quality of processes and services.
  • Set-up higher gear linux servers with necessary applications/software (centos/back ups, sql etc.).
  • Set-up, configure, implement and provide support for applicable applications.
  • Understand IT applications and infrastructure in alignment with policies and procedures .
  • Adhere to organisational policies and procedures to ensure cost effectiveness and reduction of financial wastage related to materials or equipment.

  • Continuously monitor actual process turnaround times and quality standards and resolve issues efficiently to enhance effective customer/client service delivery.
  • Ensure the delivery of service level agreements made with internal and external stakeholders that meet or exceed client expectations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree/Diploma in Information Technology or related qualification.
  • Must have 3 - 5 years' experience in the same/similar role, with at least 1 - 2 years' specialist experience.
  • Hands-on experience dealing with technical related issues. 
  • Strong networks, security, hardware, software etc. experience / knowledge.
